A Garden Built to Last

The client's live plants were repeatedly dying, leaving the garden looking patchy and unfinished. They wanted to reintroduce structure and greenery through topiary — clipped, ornamental shapes that bring instant character to a garden — using buxus balls and spiral trees. The finish needed to be low-maintenance, weather-resistant, and true to the classic topiary look.

When Nature Won't Cooperate

Live topiary requires consistent watering, feeding, and clipping to maintain its shape — and in this garden, conditions simply weren't supporting healthy growth. Repeated die-back meant the client was investing time and money into planting that never reached its full potential. Any solution needed to replicate the elegance of real topiary while removing the risk of further loss.

The Right Materials From the Start

We introduced a mix of artificial buxus balls and spiral trees, all UV-stabilised to withstand outdoor exposure without fading or degrading. This gave the garden the polished, established look of traditional topiary — instantly transforming the space — while removing the need for watering, feeding, or replacement. The result is a refurbished garden that holds its structure and colour whatever the British weather brings.
